House in Limnos / Interior Design - 3D Visualization
The project is located in a village called Karpasi, in Limnos, Greece.
This project transforms an old cottage house into a modern, cozy mediterranean style home. The renovation focuses on creating a warm and inviting interior that evokes a sense of relaxation and belonging. The design emphasizes the use of natural materials, a warm color palette, and a strong connection to nature, all while maintaining a simple aesthetic.
Soft, warm hues like creamy whites and sandy beiges dominate the space, working harmoniously with the natural stone walls to create a calming and soothing backdrop. These tones enhance the inviting nature of the interior, while subtle pale green accents are introduced through door frames and windows, adding a fresh and airy touch.
Natural materials are central to the design, reinforcing the connection to the surrounding environment and contributing to the overall warmth of the space. The floors are covered in large, beige sand tiles on the ground level, while the upper floor features wide-plank wood flooring, both of which add to the rustic charm. Exposed wooden beams stretch across the ceilings, highlighting the wood’s natural grain and adding a sense of authenticity. The rough stone walls are preserved and enhanced, deepening the connection to nature and bringing a sense of history into the modernized space.
Plastered walls with a slightly rough, hand-troweled texture add to the rustic yet refined character of the interior. Woven fabrics, such as linen curtains and cotton upholstery, further emphasize the natural, handcrafted quality of the home. Mediterranean style is also reflected in the details, including potted plants that bring greenery indoors and traditional architectural elements like arches, which add a touch of classic elegance to the space.
